A high Street local with its coaching inn origins still visible. Fine blocked-in 'tax windows', of which Brandon has many, are proudly displayed.

New interest in Real Ale locally with the opening of Brandon Brewery 300 yards away has resulted in extra pumps being installed, with the 'local brew' usually available. The pub's car park is accessed from Lode Street. Now fully free, having been purchased by the current management from the insolvent Elizabeth Hotels group. There are 4 recently built units for B&B.
