Popular town local with much improved beer range since becoming 'ex-Greene King'. Situated away from the busy high street, it has a lively atmosphere, especially when darts and petanque teams are visiting! The large garden behind houses the petanque terrain and regular barbecues are held in summer. Parking in front of pub is limited but there is a public car park 300 yards away. Live music on Wed & Sun eve.
The building dates from the mid 19th century, though it has an early 18th century core.
