One of the oldest pubs in town (dating from the 17th or 18th century) which is now located within the Guinness shopping arcade. This area of town was once a maze of lanes known as the Rookery. Live music on Fridays.

Food available 11-3 & 6-11

A cock-pit existed in this pub at least as late as 1767 and it's said that its remnants can still be seen in the cellar. Legend has it that a tunnel ran from the pub to King Charles's palace and was used by the monarch to travel between the two buildings.
