An ancient smugglers inn overlooking the River Orwell that has been extended to rear to provide additional seating for diners. The patio area to front has fine views. Refurbished and re-roofed after a fire in 2003, the pub now offers high class cuisine together with gravity dispensed beers.

The building probably dates back to the 14th century.
