Regular real ales: Adnams bitter, Broadside, Greene King IPA + Nethergate Bitter [H].
The Angel was first licensed in 1420 and stands in the centre of this historic village. It has been in the same family ownership since 1990 and is popular with locals and visitors. Four local real ales are always on tap and these together with a good wine list, compliment the food for which the Angel is renowned. An a la carte menu using local produce is available. Eight well equipped en suite bedrooms and a stunning residents sitting room ensure it is also a comfortable place to stay. Ask to see the medieval vaulted cellars during quiet periods. Piano played occasionally. Games in public area include dominoes and many board games.
