Rebuilt in 1900 after the original thatched pub burnt down in a July thunderstorm. A contemporary account of which is framed in the bar. The Bear has been run by the same family since 1922. The current landlord has updated without spoiling a very traditional building with two bars and separate dining room (for residential use only at present). There is easy access from the A14 as the pub was originally on the main Ipswich to Cambridge road.

All information is presented here in good faith and believed to be correct at the time of writing.
The addresses of old pubs (numbers and sometimes even street names) may not always co-incide with the building's current address (if it's still standing), as street names sometimes change, as do numbering schemes
