Traditional village local with a warm welcome for all passing customers. There is a large garden and ample parking. The interior is divided into two bars, one with a pool table and the other for dining and drinking. Sunday roast is a speciality, so booking is advisable. Seafaring artefacts and nelson memorabilia adorn the walls and ceiling.
Sadly this excellent village pub (last in village) is currently closed despite about 1100 people in the village - Nov 2008 - see BBC news item
