Attractive two bar pub with splendid views of the Stour estuary which is popular with local ramblers.
There are many exposed beams and woodwork in both bars especially the split level lounge/restaurant area which also has low ceilings and leads into the separate conservatory area. Some interesting local pictures can also be seen. Fresh, locally sourced food is used whenever possible and menu includes various specials listed on a board. Public bar is also home to local male and female darts teams with crib also played.
Worth seeking out. Last bus back to Ipswich at about 11.20.
