Pakefield Cliff Hotel

also traded as as: Mill

historical era: Victorian / Edwardian

opened 1875

Pakefield St

Overview | Historical info | Public transport | Map

The Cliff Hotel fell into the sea in 1905.

It's listed in 1874 as being in Kirtley(sic), but it seems probable that this is actually the same building. The 1855 White's Directory lists southern Kirkley as part of Pakefield and northern Kirkley as part of Lowestoft.

[Note, the opening date is reported as 1875]

(Is this the same as the Mill, Kirkley?)

It's shown on this old OS map from about the end of the 19th century. larger map
