Attractive 17th cent rooms to front with large modern extension to rear. Very popular with younger people at weekends.

In 1788 the Bury Post records that "on Sunday night past, at the Dog and Partridge, in this town, a man devoured the whole of an earthenware pint mug, except the handle, and would have swallowed that also, but that the person with whom he had betted a triffling wager, expressed himself perfectly satisfied!"
