Main Rd, IP6 9AA
A popular split level pub and restaurant, with a real log fire (built by the landlord) that burns on most evenings in the colder months. Real ales are served directly from the cask.
From early 2017 offering B&B.
The Bus stop is located just after the nearby crossroads (about 2 minute walk from the pub).
It's believed that the pub pre-dates the railway line and was a coaching inn on the old turnpike. Presumably it had a different name then?
Beer served through handpulls
