Brundish is a dispersed settlement in the heart of the "Suffolk prairie". Woodlands is a fine example of a 13th century aisled house. Tributaries to the River Alde rise here.
In 1992, a hoard of Roman coins was found near Brundish with a metal detector. There were 67 denarii, with dates ranging from the reigns of Galba to Marcus Aurelius.
The 1909 Rates book records a "tenement near Bell Inn". It seems probable that this Bell Inn isn't in Brundish, but was actually the Bell Inn at nearby Owl's Green, in Dennington parish.
