This village, sometimes referred to as Glemham Parva, is set on the A12 in the valley of the river Alde. It was recorded in Domesday as "Thieue Gliemham". Just north of the settlement is Glemham Hall, a large red brick mansion built circa 1715-25, which is set in a large estate and was the home of the Cobbold brewing family for many years. See www.glemhamhall.co.uk

A mid-late 18th century watermill stands down a lane off Church Road.
