About Little Bradley

Little Bradley is now a dry parish, which was listed in Domesday as "Bradeleia" (sometimes Bradleia").

It has scattered housing, with no discernible centre to the settlement. The pub was in the far east of the parish, almost in Stradishall.

The Norman church has an interesting memorial to John Daye. He was an eminent printer of the English Reformation period. In 1580 he printed the first edition of the "Actes and Monuments of the Latter and Perilous Days", better known as "Foxe's Book of Martyrs". He is known to have fathered 25 or 26 children!

Little Bradbury, a Deserted Medieval Village, is believed to have stood in the area of Church Meadow.
