First brewed at the start of February 2009 in Ipswich's historic Cliff Quay Brewery where others such as Tolly Cobbold and Cobbold & Co had brewed for over two and a half centuries.
Owned by Earl Soham brewery, but run as a separate brewery by Jeremy Moss, who was formerly head brewer at Wychwood in Oxfordshire. Production ceased at Cliff Quay in 2012 when the loading bay where the brew-kit was located was demolished for redevelopment. Brewing was temporarily contracted-out until the new brewery in Debenham was opened in September 2012.
Local licensing authority for Debenham is Mid Suffolk
