A craft brewery opened in 1995 by former Vaux/Greene King/Broughton brewer Alan Thompson. In 2001 the brewery moved to larger premises in a converted farm building in the same village. The beers produced are mostly named after endangered local species. Old Chimneys currently supplies 30 outlets.
All bottled beers are suitable for vegetarians and all except Black Rat and Hairy Canary are suitable for vegans.
The brewery shop is open 2-7PM Friday and 11AM-2PM Saturday.
