RECENT BRANCH NEWS:

Ipswich branch POTY:
(March 2012)

Congratulations to John and Anni Keatley and all of their staff at the Ipswich Fat Cat who are our branch Pub of the Year for 2012. The pub celebrated 15 years as the Fat Cat late last year and has offered a varied and changing selection of beers on gravity throughout that time as well as some that have since become firm favorites. It also offers a selection of Belgian beers. The pub will now go forward to the county round of the competition which it last won back in 1998.

Ipswich Beer Festival 2012

16th to 19th August

The 2012 Ipswich Beer Festival will be held on Ipswich docks (Orwell quay) close to the new UCS buildings in a similar format as last year's event. So come and join us for the second outdoor summer festival to be organised by CAMRA in Ipswich -see for more details.

Real Ale Runabouts 2012

A new series of bus trips out from Ipswich to rural pubs on Thursday evenings has been agreed with Ipswich buses starting in March 2012 and then running throughout the year.

CAMRA Discount Scheme

Find a pub on the scheme at this

CAMRA has launched a new initiative to help drive trade to community pubs by introducing a national, unified real ale discount scheme for CAMRA members.

Plenty of kind pubs across Britain already offer CAMRA card-carrying members discounts on the real ales they sell. This new scheme will help these pubs, and hopefully some new pubs, to clearly promote these offers to CAMRA members resulting in hopefully more trade.
